Chiropractic Care
Did you know that your nervous system connects with every living cell in your body and that 98% of those nerves come out of your spine? If your spine has the ability to cause an abnormal irritation—and it does—then that affects the way your brain talks to your body. A health issue then arises.
Pain may or may not result, but if your brain isn’t talking to your body that’s a challenge to your body doing what it’s supposed to do—be a self-healing, self-regulating mechanism. We’re going to look at your spine and see if there are any abnormal irritations going on. If that’s the case, we’re going to work on that and get you to function the way you were designed to.
Benefits of Chiropractic Care
Two of the greatest benefits of chiropractic care are that it helps your nervous system to function better and it can address pain naturally. Chiropractic can manage a broad array of conditions; these include back pain, neck pain, headaches, arm pain and numbness, colic and much more.
Adjusting Techniques
Dr. Georges is well versed in an array of adjusting techniques and will use the ones that can best address your specific condition.
The New Patient Journey
On your first visit, Dr. Georges will examine you and take X-rays if needed. He will give you some instructions about things he wants you to do at home that evening. You will be invited to return as early as the following day.
You and Dr. Georges will have a conversation about what he found and what he will do to help you. The traditional treatment plan is 2-3 times a week for the first 3-4 weeks. After that, as long as you’re progressing, we will start seeing you less frequently—maybe once a week for 3-4 visits or every other week. A ligament will go through a healing process over a period of 20-24 weeks, so we try to get patients to stay in active care like once every 2-3 weeks. From there you can decide if you want to do any wellness or maintenance care.
Helping Patients Feel Comfortable
The chiropractic adjustment is one of the safest medical procedures out there. Dr. Georges will explain what he’s going to do before he begins the adjustment process. If you have any concerns, please let him know. He will never do anything that you don’t want him to do.
